International Workshop at the Institute of Economic Science

Utolsó módosítás: 2015. október 13.

In October, the Institute of Economic Science held an international workshop to strengthen ties with strategic foreign partners from Portugal, Turkey, Finland, and Romania.

The aim of this special event was to create a forum for discussing the potential areas of future cooperation between the participants in research and education with special regard to tourism. The workshop was opened by presentations about the Eszterházy University, the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, and the Institute of Economic Science (GTI), while later every participant introduced their institutions and research interests. Dr. Gregory A. Gardner, currently a Fulbright professor at GTI, also gave a presentation about the business programs at the State University of New York at Potsdam.

The workshop was part of a larger event called International Days, which meant that our guests could take part in various cultural and leisure activities including sightseeing and visiting cultural heritage sites outside of Eger.

The workshop and the accompanying events resulted in several ideas for future cooperation among the participants, including the renewal and broadening of Erasmus partnerships, invitations to conferences and guest lecturing, and signing new agreements of cooperation.

The international business workshop was supported by a project of the Social Renewal Operative Program (TÁMOP-4.2.1.D-15/1/KONV-2015-0013) titled "Research, Innovation, Cooperation – Strengthening Social Innovation and the Cooperation of Research Networks".
